DESCRIPTION:
PW dial only - Ball Hampden, 18S, white enamel SS dial, Moorhouse-style decorative features, dial feet positions are for open face model mvt. A very attractive dial, this style is correct for "Ball's Standard Superior Grade" marked mvt. This dial has elegant decorative accents and flourishes in the style of Josiah Moorhouse, but like the other examples of this Ball Hampden dial we have observed, it does not carry any type of signature or marking on its rear so we choose to call it "Moorhouse-style" rather than to speculate as to whether it was truly executed by Moorhouse. CONDITION:
Dial with light perimeter hl between 11:30 and 12, two very light hls within seconds-register, some very small edge flakes, some areas of loss to areas of the markings of the outermost fine lines outside the minute numerals, and dial is missing half of its upper foot at the 59 minute position.
